Season 1 isn't really one of my favorite seasons. Truth be told, it's actually my least favorite season.

It does have some good moments, but I myself am more partial to the seasons afterwards, when they started to get on some sort of consistancy. Seasons 4 and 7 are probably my top favorite seasons of the show.
